We were tasked with revamping and furnish the clients’ stately 1910 house in Hemphill Park, with three bedrooms, 3.5-baths, plus a detached garage apartment that serves as both guest quarters and the wife’s home office. Our challenge was to fuse the couple’s clean, modern aesthetic with the home’s architecture and history. We took a high/low approach, keeping the interiors accessible with realistic, durable but elegant materials and finishes as they are a busy a family with two young children and pets, who also enjoy entertaining.
