ABout the project
This comprehensive renovation reimagined a dark, dated mid-2000s Craftsman revival–style home in historic downtown Georgetown as a light-filled city retreat for long-time Austin residents. Without significantly altering the exterior, we focused on introducing natural light and establishing a warm, neutral palette that highlights the clients’ art collection, while contemporary, clean lines are softened by layered texture. Sculptural yet visually light fixtures add interest without competing with the artwork, and a gut renovation and reconfiguration of the kitchen—with the addition of a bar—along with a new powder bath and fully redesigned primary bath and closet, resulted in a bright, timeless update that balances elegance and livability.
